Thursday Crafternoon: Pressed Flowers

Hey, this is our 10th Crafternoon! Hooray! Today is a short little crafternoon demonstrating how to simply press flowers in a book! I love using pressed flowers in projects and have some ideas for future projects using pressed flowers, but I thought I had better walk you guys through pressing some flowers first so they are ready to go when the time comes! So before we begin, head outside and forage for some spring blooms to press! Small delicate flowers work best for book pressing. Anything that grows out in the wild will look quite lovely! I ran outside and snipped a few of my anemone to press with you today! So now it’s your turn, head outside and collect your own things to press!

Did you find some pretty things for pressing? Even leaves or grasses can be used in pressed flower projects! Something you should know is that flower pressing takes patience. Once you press your flowers it will take 1-2 weeks for them to completely dry out, but the results are worth the wait! Now that you’ve got your flowers...

Get ready to press them!
